I love Tulo, but Braun's season with the bat has been so impressively good that his defensive shortcomings are left in the shadows, for me. I'd take Braun here five times a day and ten on Sundays.

Delmon Young has started to look like the guy everyone expected him to be, though the strikeouts are a worry. I chose little Dusty - after a slow April his hitting has been consistent and timely, and his D and general hustle have made him a joy to watch.

Lester's return from chemotherapy was a great story but I went for Carlos Pena - good to see him finally getting to show what he could do with an everyday starting job.

There's an argument for Rick Ankiel, but after the drug revelations I suspect people will be too suspicious of him. I went for Da Meat Hook, who's been an All Star, and a stalwart in my keeper league this year - from pretty much nowhere.

I went for Valverde, though some would argue he's not even the best RP on his team - Yusmeiro Petit certainly seems to be the go-to guy for less glamorous but higher leverage innings. Still the stats are very good, and he won't win it next year so I'll be kind

I'd say Terry Francona deserves a vote or two for leading the league almost from wire to wire, but I voted for Eric Wedge for the award.

I'd have no objection at all to Beckett winning, but I went with Sabathia. Apart from wins, which Beckett came out top in, C.C. shades the other significant categories, with a lower ERA, more strikeouts and fewer walks (and therefore a better K/BB ratio).
Carmona had an amazing season, but his relatively low strikeout numbers mean he's third for me.

Really really close, I went for Rollins by a hair from Holliday.

Vader and I have started a Yahoo freebie league with a difference, well several actually. Firstly it's deep - a max of 20 managers, and with a really big bench and extra infield slots. You'll be rewarded for depth of baseball knowledge. But that's not the thing. Secondly, it's roto 8x8. Yep that's like 5x5 but with some extra categories like BBs (for and against) and holds, to make middle relievers actually mean something. But that's not the thing. The thing is - Vader and I are meta-team captains. We'll all play against each other as usual, but over and above that there'll also be a meta-team competition going on. We've not decided exactly how to divide the other 18, maybe randomly by signup order - your suggestions are welcome - but the idea would be have each meta-team (his green capped, mine blue with red peaks) also compete as a group over the season, and the one with the best overall performance would win. Even teams that fall out of contention for the overall title can still contribute to their meta-team's success, which should keep the league alive from top to bottom. Who's in? Sign-up is here.

I'll try to get that sorted out for you. If you do plan to develop a new baseball sim, I'd strongly recommend discussing it with Umis, as he's already gone through much of the process himself and at the very least would have very relevant insights.
