I'd say it's a toss-up between Beckett, Sabathia and Lackey ... with the difference-making being the 20-win plateau. I voted Beckett Fausto Carmona, with the 2nd-lowest ERA and 2nd-most wins could get some votes too.

I chose Sabathia. 3 of his wins this year were head-to-head against Johan Santana.

I think Lackey deserves it. He's got the lowest ERA and shutouts in the AL and is the ace and anchor of a reliable Angels rotation. This has been a breakout year for him. Let's not forget Santana isn't the same pitcher this year as he has been in years past.

I'd have no objection at all to Beckett winning, but I went with Sabathia. Apart from wins, which Beckett came out top in, C.C. shades the other significant categories, with a lower ERA, more strikeouts and fewer walks (and therefore a better K/BB ratio).
Carmona had an amazing season, but his relatively low strikeout numbers mean he's third for me.
