A-Rod is already a great hitter for NY. He was MVP last year, remember? The adjustment period is well and trully over, he's just going through a rough patch. You can't always justify a player's slump with the "pressure of playing for the Yankees" stuff. Like Jyrk pointed out, Jeter had an AWEFUL slump last year, and Bernie Williams has been hot and cold through the last few years of his career.

They were saying the gun at Yankee stadium is out by about 2 mph, but 99mph is still pretty edit good.
Please keep it clean in the general areas. Thank you, Jyrk

The argument for limiting the payroll I feel is a little moot when you have teams like Oakland and Minnesotta who are consistently competitive, despite their lower payroll. And they have been winning their division, not squeaking in on the wild card ticket.

Personally I think its a shame that a team can go through a season with the best record in the league, and can then be knocked out in a short series. Why have such a long season if it can all get blown to smithereens in a couple of bad games.
I say do away with the divisions all together, then have the 2nd and 3rd team play eachother off in a best of 5 series to see who plays the top team in the LCS (the top team can play 3-4 exhibition games against non playoff teams to stay sharp).
The last thing I would like to see is to add more teams, the talent has been watered down enough.

Its good. I've got a copy on DVD. But I guess it doesn't really have any revelations that you won't find in any biographies etc. It does have some interviews though that might be helpful.

This is a real toughie. Mays, Mantle, Cobb and DiMaggio?
I picked Mantle, but Mays could just as easily be the best ever. DiMaggio is great in other aspects. Cobb was possibly even better, but his personality loses marks.
