Grove, Spahn, Koufax, Gomez, Carlton, and Ford are the best choices. I went with Spahn.

Koufax of course!! The greatest Jewish athlete in history as well
Here's a joke on that subject:
Q: World's thinnest book?
A: World's Greatest Jewish Athletes

I have mixed feelings about Koufax. For about a four year stretch at the end of his career ('63-'66) he was as dominant as any player in history, and if it weren't for a sore elbow, could have pitched an additional 5 - 10 years. In that respect he was one of the all-time best.
However, he had very good, but not dominant years the two prior seasons ('61-62), and was mediocre if not subpar in his first 6 seasons ('55-'60).
Given his actual accoplishments V. what Warren Spahn accomplished in his career, I went with Spahn.
...and I would give Greenberg the nod as all-time best Jewish player.

Yeah Grenberg is kind of a center piece for my research paper, and I have to agree that he was the best jewish player.

Its good. I've got a copy on DVD. But I guess it doesn't really have any revelations that you won't find in any biographies etc. It does have some interviews though that might be helpful.

My favourite player ever is David "Boomer" Wells, such an athletic build and liking for beer and decent music makes him a must.
