Padres sign Maddox. 1 year 10 mil. Good signing. gives them another reliable starter other than Peavy.
Pettite back to the yankees?
Jose Guillen to Seattle 1 year.
And I can't find any confirmation of this, or even the team involved but Russ Ortiz signs a 3 year 30 mil deal?? Eww.

Let's see what's new.
Cubs sign Lilly. 4/40. Good to see commitment by the Cubs to actually improve what they need. Piazza to the As to DH. Should be productive.
And the big news Barry "I lift weights" Bonds resigns with Giants. 1 year deal 16 mil, with 4 in incentives. Much better than his outragous demand for 2 years 20 mil each. I have a feeling this is something of a loyalty signing. The giants threw him a bone to let him try to break the record. We'll see how this pans out.

We can only hope it's the last shot at it. Man I'm sick of hearing his name.

His image is trashed no matter what. He'll never be beloved like hank aaron was. I think the HOF vote this year will be HUGE in determining his future with Macguire up. It's really too bad because despite everything he is still one hell of a ball player. He just has that arrogant me first attitude and the whole steroids thing. But we reap what we sow.

In other news the Royals are working on their arms signing gil meche and Octavio Dotel. I like the dotel moved But it seems they threw way too much money at Meche, sure it's an upgrade but that's #1 starter money they gave him. I don't see him contributing that much and think the money could be better spent.
Also Pettite returns to the yanks with a 1 year deal. Good move. Guy with success in the bronx. Good leader. AL EAST is going to be interesting.

Good to see Andy back in pinstripes (the right ones).
Servo, any new news on Trot? I'd hate to see him in any other uni. It just wouldn't be right.

White Sox trade Freddy Garcia to the Phillies for former No. 1 draft pick Gavin Floyd and a player to be named later (one-time White Sox pitching phenom Gio Gonzalez)

If the Yankees don't make another move I'll still be satisfied. Pettitte back in the Bronx was my biggest wish for this off season. They couldn't have made a better move as far as i'm concerned.

He's decent. Should put up pretty good numbers. But offense has never been your problem.
