Dave McNally...One of the most consistant pitchers in the American League from the mid 1960;s and into the early 70's. Played 13 seasons with the Orioles and one with the Expos. He topped 20 wins in four straight seaons from 68 thru 71. His record was 184-119 for an outstanding .607 win pct. He had a lifetime 3.24 ERA with over 1,500 strike outs. He anchored a staff that in one season ( 1971 ) produced four 20 game winners. McNally, Mike Cuellar, Jim Palmer and Pat Dobson.

Paul Dade...Played in three of his six major league seasons with the Indians. Had a lifetime .270 average and 57 SB's.

Lyman Bostock...Looked to be on his way to successful Major League career until his tragic demise in 1978. In his four year tenure from 1975-78 ( Three with the Twins and one with the Angels ) , Lyman batted 2,004 times and collected 624 hits for a .311 average. He had 23 homers and 250 RBI's. He also had 45 stolen bases.

Stu Miller...16 seasons from 1952-1968. Won 105 lost 103 with 154 saves.

Gary Peters...Fine pitcher who played from 1959 to 1972. Eleven of those seasons with the White Sox. Career 124-103 with a 3.25 ERA and 1,420 strike outs.

I remember when the Tribe had Bo Diaz...
Dick McAuliffe...Played 16 seasons, fourteen with the Tigers at 2B, SS and 3B. Good power for an infielder with 197 career homers and 697 RBI's. Eleven times he was in the double digits in home runs and three times he hit over 20 round trippers.

Johnny Temple...Light hitting but superb fielding 2B. Came up with the Reds in 1952. He was a member of the Indians - 60-61. Batted 5,218 times and collected 1,484 hits for a .284 career average. He only had 22 HR's and 395 RBI's. He did steal 140 bases.
In the field at 2B he had 6,673 fielding chances and only committed 172 errors.

Mike Hargrove...Called " The Human Rain Delay " because he took so long between pitches to re-enter the batters box. A very good contact hitter. As a manager he led the Indians to the AL title in 1995 and 1997.

Sandy Valdespino...Broke in with the great AL champion 1965 Twins. Sandy also played for the Braves, Astros, Pilots, Brewers and Royals in his seven year career.
