Yeah, the 33 year old Rookie is awesome. Real nice story too. Who comes into the game at that age and hits over .350???

charlie manuel is nothing more than a glorified hitting coach. we need a manager that might can stratagize us a win or two out of these last 40. i can see when the pitchers are losing it, why can't he. he waits too long

Charlie would be one of the best hiting coaches in the game. I'm not so sure about him in the position he has. If nothing else, he needs to get together with Dubee and take his advice the rest of the way on.

45 HR's and 117 RBI's. That's #2 and #2 behind whortiz.

Seems like the majority of the team is hitting below what they did early this year, but somehow our starting pitching is keeping it close, and Howard's producing. Is it just me, or is Gillick a genious going after the old men lately? Who'd of thunk Moyer could even go 8 anymore, and a good 8 at that. And Conine?! He must of really enjoyed smacking his old team around the last two nights!

your right, starting pitching has been great, the pen's been a bit shakey. moyer & conine have been master strokes.
so, i wouldn't call gilllick a genious, but he's definatly a master ;D

I think anyone who's team is still in it until the final weekend should be considered in the same light, unless the main competition is on the team that wins it.

Morneau and Mauer might split votes, but I think JM is more deserving.
I heard one writer say that Jeter may get it as a "lifetime achievemnt" type thing. This is his closest to deserving the award he's been, especially since he carried the team through all of the injuries and has been consistant all year.

jeter should edge out some really good players in AL MVP race but if he loses, i can see it oh yeah, Nyjyrk you know i don't post in chin music, but i wish you well in what ever you do. your presence in BLB will surely be missed, i always found your thoughts interesting and your advice i'd follow, because it was solid.
