well as pretty much everyone here by now knows I'm a die hard 'stros fan, so I gotta talk about this guy. He has been on Fire! Since he got called up on July 13 he has been hitting about .430 (the highest in the majors since then) and in the month of August he has been hitting .447 (also highest in the majors.)
Now I know he will not continue this rampage but he has looked really good in spring training the past two years and is finally starting to play like it in the big leagues. It's always great to see a young kid like him doing so well and really enjoying playing the game.
This one will be one to keep an eye on.

It's a great season for young talent. A changing of the guard if you will, and it's happening in every city it seems.

Yep, and we've got ours as well, particularly when Papelbon is reverted to a starter which happens when Breslow or Hansen or Delcarmen prove that they can close the game. And we've got a gem of a middle infielder named Pedroia coming up as well, and then there's Lester who needs a bit of polishing but has proven that he's got good stuff..

I like that guy the Yankees have in double A Philip Hughes because he is the Yankees best pitching prospect. I have heard he can be "the next Roger Clemens." I hope he can pan out as the star everyone projects him to be.

They said such dramatic things about Hansen, too, so be careful projecting that far out.
The only thing dantastic about Hansen is how badly he's flopped.

Doesn't mean anything. Hansen can still be good. He has just had one bad year so that doesn't mean anything. They just rushed him up to quickly and he wasn't used to the pressure of a pennant race. It took Scott Proctor three years to get used to pitching in the big leagues.
