There's going to be some moves going on all around MLB, and personaly, I think it's the most exciting time of baseball besides the post season. Talk trades here.

I cant wait to see what happens to Juan Pierre and Greg Maddux, they have both been in serious trade talks.

The Cubs would be smart to trade Pierre. They have Felix Pie in AAA preparing to be the leadoff hitter of the future. This kid is awesome. He has some holes in his swing right now, but that's why the Cubs want to keep him at Iowa until September callups. He's a future gold glover, no doubt. He's got tremendous speed and a great arm.

I heard a highly unlikely trade rumor that the Yankees will get Pat Burrell, Bobby Abreu, David Bell, and Tom Gordon in return for A-Rod, Melky Cabrera, and a player to be named later. I don't like this trade though because I like A-Rod and Melky Cabrera.

It'd make for one hell of a 1,2,3,4 punch, but just seems like they would be giving up a bit much for a salary that will no doubt haunt them in the future. If anything, there should be some pitching in the deal for Philly

I knew it wasn't very likely.

I've thought about that and if the Cubs want a future they should keep Pierre. I've only heard good things about Pie but now that Pierre is showing some serious signs of life i think we should hold onto him. If Pie could learn left field that would be excillent because it would rid the Cubs of worthless Matt Murton and if Pie is like what I've heard him, Pierre and Jacque Jones could make for a very quick outfield. On the other hand if the trading of Pierre meant a good starting pitcher that doesn't break every other start comes to Chicago then I'm all for it, but I don't like Pierre being traded for another Position Player.

Hillenbrand goes to SF! That should work out nicely for them.

David Bell goes for... I know that it doesn't matter that David Bell was a sentimental favorite in the Turner household. My 2 year old called him Daddy Bell, and my wife thinks he is the sexiest man alive. Yeah, strange hosehold I guess. This guy busted his ass day in and day out while walking around with a bad back, hips, whatever. So what do we get in return. A maybe. Or more specifically a question mark. And even better still: Who is going to be playing 3B??? Honestly, you don't have many choices in MLB at 3B. This trade was stupid. Alright... Sell em all. There better be something to show for it in the next two seasons though.
