i got a couple but no pics, maybe someone else(jyrk)-8) can find them. Soviet's getting extra time in '72 olympics Eric Gregg's wide strike zone Gotcha, sort of! Umpire Tim Tschida missed this call, just like Chuck Knoblauch missed Jose Offerman.

Umpire Tim Tschida missed this call, just like Chuck Knoblauch missed Jose Offerman. I'm surprised you haven't said something about the call a few days ago. Astors vs. Phils. Bases loaded bottom of the 9th, 1 out, Astros down by one. Carlos Lee hits what is sure to be a double play ball. But Carlos actully runs hard (What a great idea... actually run?!?!) and makes it close at first and is called safe but was surely out by about half a step. That tied the game and the astros ended up winning it on a walkoff by pence in the 11th. Really should never have been close the shortstop and second baseman really didn't rush at all in making their throws just assuming Lee gave up on the play.

All of the ones I posted were post season, but if anyone had video or pictorial proof of a famous bad call of any kind, post 'em.

can't find the video but if anyone can, please post. this is still a sore spot with me October 7, 1977 Veterans Stadium.... Davey Lopes followed by hitting a blistering grounder to third that took a wicked hop and struck Mike Schmidt in the left knee. Larry Bowa retrieved the carom out of the air, fired to first, and appeared to have retired Lopes, but Lopes was called safe. TV replays kept showing that Bowa's throw beat Lopes. Meanwhile, Mota scored to tie the game at 5-5.
