thats not really much of the season 16 games or so
hardly enough to call the whole team crappy... considering they haven't even opened the season

They finished 2 games over .500 in the crappy NL Central last year. They didn't do anything to improve. As a matter of fact, they are a worse team than last year, especially in the pitching department. Lidge is psycologically damaged, the rotation is half of what it used to be, Biggio and Berkman are getting long in the tooth, etc. With what the Cubs and Brewers did over the offseason, the Cardinals have outclassed everyone the last few years, the Reds and Pirates have young talent that's developing rapidly, I just don't see the Astros competing. I will concede that they have the potential to make it to 4th place, but the Cubs, Cards, and Brewers are just superior to them. I gave my opinion, and that's that.

Really not much you can say about the Nat's, even diehard fans are conceding over 100 losses. Even if they get production out of the offense, the pitching is terrible. Os will be better than you think, but again they just don't have the pitching to compete in the AL East. I don't know much about the Mariners or DBacks so I can't really comment. The royals are getting better for sure, but still too inexperienced

AL MVP: Vlad Guerrerro, LAA NL MVP: Carlos Beltran, NYM AL Cy Young: Johan Santana, MIN NL Cy Young: Jake Peavey, SDP AL Rookie: Alex Gordon, KCR NL Rookie: Chris Young, ARI
Going out on a limb-
- Ichiro will flirt with .400. - The Royals will look suprisigly good at first, but fall apart after the All-star break. - Oriole fans will revolt and force Angelos to look for prospective buyers - Matt Holliday will be in serious contention for the NL MVP - Manny Ramirez will demand a trade earlier this year (just after All-Star break) than the past three years. - A-Rod will be ALCS MVP, hitting 2 GW homers in the series (he's due) - Johan Santana will win the AL triple crown (for pitching) again - Barry Bonds will break the HR record in SF after sitting out 3 road games due to a "sore muscle". Hank Aaron will not be in attendance.

- hank will be there, but Selig won't. Scuttlebutt around the league is that one will show and one won't. Seems that niether want to show Barry any support, but both don't want to disrespect the game. They figure one can show up to show respect to the league, but the other will stay away to show displeasure with Bonds. The rumor has it that Aaron is waiting to see what Selig will do. If he goes, Aaron is off the hook, if Selig doesn't, AAron will go.
