The question was posed to me about the origin of the Bakersfield Blaze logo. All that I know is it has been in use since 2001. I do not know why the flames are reminiscent of the Canadian maple leaf. Since Bakersfield is in California, I don't see any correlation. Does anyone else have any info? I'll see what I can do to look up any connection, if there is any.

Nolan Ryan still exercises regularly, could he be counted as "active?"

for question three, i think you might've shorted rzobb a point jyrk. Nice catch and thank you for your honesty. As I have done before is situations of honesty, you will get the benefit of the doubt in a future close decision. ....and some think I'm an asshole.

YW rzobb
now that question #8 is answered, i was wondering, has there ever been an instance where the Batter hits a HR and just goes back to the dugout without rounding the bases and the HR still counts??
what happens if he just stands in the batters box for 10min.?

I've never seen, nor heard of it. Even in a walk-off situation, you're still supposed to round the bases. Joe Adcock had a HR turn into a single because he passed Aaron rounding the bases when he broke-up the 12 inning "perfect" game by Harvey Haddux. Robin Ventura had a GS turned into a single in the '99 NLCS because he never made it to homeplate after he was mobbed ny his teammates.

This is what stood out in my mind. He had a grand slam but never got past first because that's all they needed to win and he was mobbed. You have to touch every base for it to count.

Point of clarity.
I am looking for the ONE guy that was the first to do it in both leagues. He had 40 in a season for one team, then had 40 for a different team in the other league.

Ahh I assumed you meant full season which was Brandon Webb with 16 last year.

You weren't the only one. Remember, you have to read my questions thoroughly. Wording can sometimes be a bitch.

I know and I even thought well maybe I should check the strike seasons, but laziness took over.

Sorry for the delay everyone. Been a little hectic around the Janssen homestead with the trip to NY looming.
Speaking of which, there are a couple of options for the trivia game.
1 - I shorten the season so that the last update is Tuesday. 2 - There is a pause until I get back. 3 - I give someone a list of questions and they update it for me while I'm gone.
What does everyone think? Should I poll, or can we get it solved in this thread?
